Mia (5 years old) haven’t seen her big sister since a long time. Her mom said she’ll be back home when she’ll eat again. So between dreams and memories, Mia start to cook, to bring her back.
Director Biography – Julie Prieur
Julie is a screenwriter and filmmaker who lives in Montreal, Canada. Creation and musical composition have always been part of her life. Since the age of 4, she studied violin, ballet and many instruments like piano, guitar, and percussions. She has been introduced to the cinema industry in mid-2000 when she worked as an actress in plays, shorts and tv shows, which brings her to study cinematography at the University of Montreal.
Then, she directed her first movie called “Dolls Don’t Die” centred around the themes of beauty, appearance and how we relate to our bodies. It meant to be osmosis of these two worlds she cherishes music and movies, with a poetic approach and vision. It has played at many festivals around the world and won some awards including Best Screenplay at the VTIFF (USA).
She is now working on another short fiction and developing drama series.
