CLAYTON BEUGELING

Clayton Beugeling is a video artist and filmmaker from Montreal, Quebec. Their video and audio work has been screened at the Dirt Palace Museum in Providence, Time Forms Conference at the Phi Center, Moving Image Research Lab at McGill University, RATS9 Gallery, as well as at underground artist venues in Montreal, New York, and Philadelphia. Clayton’s recent works, Golden Boat and Ritual, are distributed by the Canadian Film Distribution Center (CFDMC), with Golden Boat currently being submitted to international film festivals.

Clayton’s video work has received coverage in such publications as Fader Magazine, Stereogum, Exclaim! Magazine. Clayton’s work explores the intersection between memory and the political, focusing on issues surrounding trans identities, class, and race.
